Nevin Aladağ is one of the most internationally renowned artists from Germany based in Berlin. By setting genre boundaries in motion and challenging conventional categorizations, she creates complex multifaceted works that oscillate between sculpture, video, sound, performance, and “panel painting.”

This artist’s book follows the conceptual approach of the new series of works entitled Vibrating Images. In these works, Aladağ explores and addresses the materialization and perception of sound. The publication’s design concept translates the artist’s inspiring oeuvre into an exciting graphic language and lets you experience her artistic practice in book form. The visualization of sound waves is one of the surprising design elements of the monograph Vibrating Images. 

Two essays (German/English), numerous illustrations of the artworks, and installation views acknowledge Nevin Aladağ as a significant artist in the contemporary discourse on community, society, and globalization. Special attention is given to the artwork Music Room Darmstadt, created in 2025 for the solo exhibition Raise the Roof in the Exhibition Hall at Mathildenhöhe Darmstadt.
