SPECIFICS
Martin Walde’s Luftlinie—a monumental, curved metal tube weaving around a historic water tower on the Glanzstoff site in St. Pölten like a dynamic spatial drawing—follows the flight path of a bird. Blending architecture, organic forms, and sculptural expression, the installation is comprehensively documented and placed in direct context with Walde’s oeuvre to date. This book focuses on the visual and theoretical exploration of a recurring central motif: the line in space.
This book is published to mark the installation of Martin Walde’s Luftlinie at the Glanzstoff site in St. Pölten, Austria. A project by CAG Holding.
With contributions by Dr. Cornelius Grupp, Alexandra Matzner, Sabine B. Vogel and the artist Martin Walde.
