Soli Kiani’s work is shaped by an exploration of freedom, self-determination, and the social and political conditions of women’s lives. Drawing on her own biography and her experiences in Iran, the Vienna-based artist has developed a compelling visual language spanning painting, drawing, sculpture, and installation. Fabric, rope, chain, and concrete become carriers of memory and lived experience, negotiating the tensions between veiling and visibility, constraint and liberation.
