Aldo Giannotti’s book “Viral” is a reflection on the lockdown during the 2020 pandemic. His artworks collect the moods and moments of chaotic and rapidly changing local and global strategies, political tendencies and societal challenges. Relating to his own life, everyday routine is shaped by restrictions and a growing sense of insecurity. From cancelled exhibitions through to excessive food shopping, Giannotti’s drawings reveal the gradual shift from one social norm to another.
