The exhibition Im erweiterten Raum [In Expanded Space] focuses on outstanding artistic approaches in drawing and painting – works from the STRABAG ART Collection that, in strikingly different ways, explore and test the boundaries of their medium. These pieces once again demonstrate that the traditional means of expression in contemporary art have lost none of their radiance or expressive power in today’s multimedia reality. The diverse works – at times expanding into space, and several created specifically for the exhibition – impress through their formal mastery and conceptual depth. The ten Austrian and European artists featured in the exhibition are all winners of the STRABAG ART Award.

 

In dialogue with the main exhibition, the Factory space will provide deeper insight into the STRABAG ART Award. Artworks by a total of 34 national and international artistic positions from the STRABAG ART Collection can be seen.
