In interviews, Klaus Staeck, as artist and publisher, plus major gallerists who accompanied Joseph Beuys on his artistic journey, namely Anneliese Jährling (Galerie Parnass, Wuppertal), René Block (Berlin), Anny De Decker and Bernd Lohaus (Wide White Space Gallery, Antwerp), Bernd Klüser (Munich), Erhard Klein (Bad Münstereifel) and Heinz Holtmann (Cologne), talk very personally of their meetings, experiences and projects with Joseph Beuys. These depictions by contemporary witnesses are supplemented by the reproduction of numerous documents as text and image and open many new insights into one of the most important artistic personalities of the second half of the twentieth century.
